Amazon is gearing up for Prime Day quite literally. The internet retailer confirmed its annual mega sale this week, which will begin July 16 and run for 36 hours. This may be nearly two weeks away, but the company is already offering some early bird discounts as we sorta suspected they would. Not everything about each product is entirely new, and not all of them will come cheap. Here’s a quick rundown.
Competition in the connected home is heating up, and so are assistant speakers. Two of the more popular on the market today have been Google Home and Amazon Echo. And for the first time, the two have been set at an equal price point by their owners.
In addition to the announcement of Echo Show, Amazon announced Alexa calling and messaging for its Echo devices. We included a brief mention to this in our post about Echo Show yesterday, but just to make things clear, we decided to address the news in a separate post.
