AT&T GoPhone becomes AT&T Prepaid, new members get first two months free

AT&T has today re-branded ‘GoPhone’ to simply ‘AT&T Prepaid.’ The service has undergone no changes other than the name, and for a limited time, new sign-ups on AT&T Prepaid will get their first two months for free.

In a move that some of us saw coming, AT&T’s GoPhone service has been renamed to AT&T Prepaid. The new name represents what the plan is, a prepaid plan. Nothing else is changing for now.

To celebrate the name change, AT&T is offering new customers of AT&T Prepaid two free months of service so long as the account is kept in good standing over twelve months. The credit will be given in the form of a bill credit, which you’ll receive at the conclusion of months three and twelve. Only the $40 (6GB data) and $60 (22GB unlimited data) monthly prepaid plans are eligible for the promotion.
