Essential has run quite a few deals in the past on its first-gen Essential Phone, and the latest price reduction brings the phone to $399 unlocked. This ties for an all-time low and is down a whole $100 bill from the standard $499 price tag.
$499 let alone is a good price for the Essential Phone, but despite the low mark, sales of the Android flagship have not been sharp. Hence the reason why retailers keep lowering the price of the smartphone. The latest deal can be had on Amazon. If you’re in the market for a 2017 Android flagship with near stock Android and up-to-date software, this is a great option and you can’t beat the current price.
Buyers can pick from three available colors: Halo Gray, Black Moon, and Pure White. All have the same set of specifications, but the Halo Gray was a late addition and is an Amazon exclusive. The only downside of the phone is the camera, but it’s pretty evenly matched with other phones at the $399 price point. It has improved through numerous updates, but don’t expect what you’d get out of a Galaxy S9 or Pixel 2. The camera is said to be improved for the next-generation Essential Phone, but we’re still a ways away it seems from any announcement.
The device includes a warranty and free shipping if you live in the US. Grab it in the color you want at the link below while you still can.
