Deal: T-Mobile puts a BOGO promotion on many of today’s Android flagship smartphones

It’s deal season and T-Mobile is starting us off this week with a Black Friday promotion. The US carrier is offering “Buy One, Get One” (BOGO) on a variety of smartphones including some of today’s hottest Android flagships.

Some recent Android arrivals are part of this BOGO promotion in honor of 2017’s holiday season including Samsung’s Galaxy Note 8 and Galaxy S8, and LG’s V30 and G6, plus more! For all of the Magenta carrier’s BOGO deals, you’ll have to buy the two phones you want up front using the Equipment Installment Plan (EIP), in order for one to be refunded via rebate in the form of a prepaid card. Here’s how it works.

Say you want two Galaxy Note 8 smartphones for the price of one. You have to first purchase both using T-Mobile’s Equipment Installment Plan, meaning the cost of the down payment is due right away, as well as the first two installments for both phones (which you’ll have to cover temporarily). Then, activate one line on T-Mobile’s network. Once you do that, head over to T-Mobile’s promotion center here and fill out the required fields to validate your purchases. If you don’t, you won’t be recognized as eligible, and won’t be mailed your prepaid card. If you followed the steps properly, you should hear a response within eight weeks that a prepaid MasterCard has been sent to you, worth the sum of all installment payments for the second phone purchase. The exact value will depend on which smartphone you choose to buy.

The Android phones eligible for T-Mobile’s Black Friday BOGO promotion are outlined below.

  • Samsung Galaxy S8
  • Samsung Galaxy S8+
  • Samsung Galaxy Note 8
  • Samsung Galaxy S8 Active
  • LG G6
  • LG V20
  • LG V30
  • LG V30+

The promotion will remain active through this week, with more deals to come from T-Mobile and the remainder of the industry. You can take advantage of this one at T-Mobile’s website here, or, at a carrier store location. We’ll have plenty more Black Friday weekend and Cyber Monday deals coming your way throughout the week. Stay tuned for more!
