Galaxy Note 8 official wallpapers leak ahead of unveil, download them right here

It’s a tradition that spans at least as long as I’ve been in the field: before a phone’s official announcement, the device’s wallpapers make their way into the public domain.

Smartphone wallpapers are meant to be something of a celebratory item, a way to “make ready” for what is to come. In the case of Samsung, these wallpapers prepare the mass market for the arrival of a new phone, the Galaxy Note 8.

The Galaxy Note 8 wallpapers leaked publicly by Reddit user supermann423 this week, a total of 13 in all. Quite a few of the wallpapers show a nice color blend, others show a nice view of the clouds, stars or “Galaxy” (hint, hint!). There are a few though, that show off the beauty of nature: one wallpaper features mountain peaks, another features small waves standing up near the shore, while one features two people having fun while walking around the hilly terrain near the water (the land and water meet at an invisible point). There is a wallpaper that showcases sand dunes, but this is not new: we’ve seen this same wallpaper, even in the same color, on the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+.

These Galaxy Note 8 wallpapers are gorgeous to behold, but yes, they are teasers. We know much about the 6.3-inch, Quad HD+ Infinity Super AMOLED panel expected for the upcoming handset. The Galaxy Note 8 could actually come with Full HD (1080p) resolution enabled on the device out of the box, but we don’t know anything about Samsung’s plans to maintain the Always On Display themes and wallpapers.

Samsung is expected to announce the Galaxy Note 8 on Wednesday, August 23 in New York City, and the “next big thing” is expected to be released for purchase on Friday, September 15.

For now, we here at Droid Turf leave you to these Galaxy Note 8 wallpapers in their original  high-quality. Simply right-click and hit ‘open in new tab’ followed by ‘save image as’ to download on your desktop computer. Alternatively, press and hold on mobile to save the image to your gallery. Let us know which one(s) you love most in the comments!
