Galaxy S8+ and Galaxy S8: Now available in stores near you!

Samsung has announced its long-rumored and much-anticipated Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ flagship smartphones that will replace last year’s Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge models. The announcement was made in NYC at a private event earlier today. Each of the two phones offer a refreshed experience with upgraded internals and a modern design. With the pair, the South Korean manufacturer hopes to turn things around after perhaps the roughest six months in the company’s history that followed the launch of the Galaxy Note 7.

The Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ include 5.8-inch and 6.2-inch QHD+ 18:9 Super AMOLED displays, respectively. However, despite the large screens compared to last year’s models, each handset’s body has remained a similar size, just with narrower and taller dimensions. This is thanks to the high screen-to-body ratio found on each of the two smartphones, which incorporate little bezel. Samsung has also many new features and tools to help out those who like to consume media and be productive at the same time. Here’s where and when you’ll be able to get your hands on one.

The Galaxy S8 models are finally here, after all the hype and anticipation that has built up over the proceeding months. From what we’ve been hearing, initial feedback has been solid to this point, and many are excited for the “next big thing.” Business will run as normal for Samsung, who has a global release planned for later this season that will spread across several continents and to many cellular networks.

Shortly after this morning’s unveiling wrapped up, carriers here in the United States began to confirm to their fans and social followings availability for Samsung’s next flagship. This has made our job a bit easier. Samsung has also partnered up with major U.S. retailers, who will also sell the new smartphones once they are shipped from the warehouse. Here’s all the pricing, availability and Galaxy S8 release information we have thus far along with some of our top stories and latest coverage out of Unpacked 2017.
