Over recent months, Google has been building up anticipation for a big event to take place on October 4th, this Tuesday. While many have been sent invites to attend the event in person, the remaining millions found throughout the world will be able to watch via a video livestream. We’re expecting lots to unfold at the event, finally making sense out of all the prior leaks, reports and rumors we’ve been hearing about for such an extended period of time. Here’s what we know and what you can expect to see.

Each year, the amount of rumors, leaks and anticipation built up leading into Google’s events are sky-high. This year is no different. We’re expecting successors to older generation products as well as new products that will surely shape the future. Some of these include, Nexus smartphone successors, which will now be called Pixel smartphones, a new Chromecast, a smart speaker in that of Google Home, a Wi-Fi router in that of Google Wi-Fi, Daydream VR hardware, and more. Android 7.1 Nougat, a maintenance update is due out, which is said to bring new features such as new buttons, a new launcher and a new navbar customizer. Other signs point towards, although unlikely to launch, a Android-ChromeOS hybrid device running a new operating system called ‘Andromeda.’

The event is said to start at 12PM EST on Tuesday, October 4th. Droid Turf will be covering it, as well as everything leading up to it and post event analysis as well as insight.
