Instagram hits 500 million subscribers

Instagram announced staggering news today. The young social platform known for image sharing has reached 500 million subscribers!

Instagram hit a major milestone today. 500 million subscribers are now active on the platform, 300 million of which use Instagram every single day. Instagram also recorded that over 80% of users live outside the United States.

Instagram posted the following statement on their own blog:
