Meet the YouTube TV app, rolling out now for Android TV

YouTube TV is Google’s affordable TV platform priced at just $35 per month. It’s available in dozens of large cities and popular regions, and now it works as a native app across all your devices. Meet the YouTube TV app, now available for your Android TV.

After some speculation that there might be a dedicated YouTube TV coming, Google’s YouTube team has announced the app, and it’s rolling out to devices running the platform as we speak.

If you’re a current subscriber of YouTube TV, you’ll no longer have to cast content over Wi-Fi to your Android TV set or Android TV-powered set-top box (you still can if you choose). That’s because there’s a native YouTube TV app arriving now on select devices, such as the NVIDIA SHIELD TV, select Sony TV sets, and even the Xbox One family. LG and Samsung television sets will get the app in the coming weeks.

Am I one of the few being left out with my Nexus Player? Let us know if you are seeing the app, and if so, the device you’re using and how you’re liking the app so far (assuming you’re a subscriber or free trial member).
