OnePlus brings back Sandstone with new OnePlus 5T White Limited Edition model

With the OnePlus One and Two, OnePlus brought sandstone to the smartphone with a textured back panel. Flash forward to today, the company has brought back sandstone with its latest OnePlus 5T smartphone. The texture that stole the show has been revisited by request in the form of a White Sandstone Limited Edition OnePlus 5T model.

OnePlus is known for their sandstone OnePlus One, and the company has become no stranger at launching new variants of its latest smartphone after the initial release. The OnePlus 6 successor is a few months out, but in the meantime, OnePlus announced a Star Wars themed OnePlus 5T, Chinese-exclusive Lava Red OnePlus 5T, and now a classic Sandstone White OnePlus 5T.

The new OnePlus 5T model is every bit the same on the inside, but all different on the outside when it comes to color. The exterior feels like real sandstone and is colored White. The OnePlus branding on the back has turned Black and the side buttons are Black (volume controls) and Red (power button). The texture is super grippy and looks pretty cool. OnePlus said it took over 100 trials, but it finally decided on a 4-layer texture. If you’ve always wanted a OnePlus smartphone, but dislike metal, this is your golden opportunity to get the latest model.

As with some other OnePlus 5T variants, this is a limited edition, meaning quantity is “limited.” You’ll be able to purchase the model on January 9 beginning at 10:00AM Eastern Standard Time in only the 128GB storage / 8GB RAM configuration. Pricing has been set at $559, which is nothing more than the standard model. Check it out in the video below or visit the product link to prepare for a quick sale.
