As it stands, we are just one week away from the release of Google’s new Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL flagship smartphones. If you need some help deciding whether to upgrade, Verizon, the exclusive carrier in the US, can help you. As of today, Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL are on display at Verizon locations.
Want to try out a Pixel 2 or Pixel 2 XL for yourself? Now you can! Verizon’s Scott Charlston made an announcement on Twitter that consumers can “Get a hands-on preview of the new Pixel 2… at Verizon stores on 10/12.” Hopefully this means all stores and not just some will at least have one version of each handset on hand to show around. But just to make sure your local store has the one you want to see, it won’t hurt by dropping them a short call.
Employees will be on hand to answer any questions pertaining to the upcoming Pixel 2 models, and will be able to assist you in completing a pre-order, if you desire. Not all colors are expected to be on display, though you’ll be able to fiddle around all you want with whatever is present. You really have to see and use Pixel 2 in person to realize just how nice it is, so I recommend giving it a test run.
Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL will become available for purchase starting October 19 at participating retailers including Best Buy, as well as Verizon carrier locations. This is also when most, notice how I said most and not all since some are seeing delays, Pixel 2 pre-orders will ship. It’s currently unclear as to when Best Buy will have demo units like Verizon, but you can bet it will be some time next week ahead of release day.
