Each year, Samsung introduces a super durable, rugged version of its Galaxy S flagship with the ‘Active’ moniker. These Active models have traditionally been AT&T exclusives, which was the case up until now for this year’s Samsung Galaxy S8 Active.
After releasing in August, the Galaxy S8 Active will soon be sold on both T-Mobile and Sprint, by request. Both carriers will have Samsung’s device up for show in store locations and available to purchase online.
The Galaxy S8 Active features just about all the same specs as the regular Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ with addition to a larger 4,000mAh battery, rugged flat design and varied pricing. Buyers will enjoy the benefit of added durability when the phone is dropped, or, exposed to elements such as water and dust.
T-Mobile has already confirmed on its news blog that the handset will be available starting November 17, priced at $820 retail or $100 down and $30 monthly installments over two years. Sprint hasn’t disclosed availability nor pricing just yet. Let us know if you use one of these carriers and are considering the Galaxy S8 Active as your next buy, down in the comments.
