Sony Xperia X is discounted by $50 at major retailers, could it be permanent?

Less than two weeks ago, Sony released the Xperia X in the Unites States. Now, it’s gone up for sale! Or is it?

Only two weeks after releasing the device, it appears that the handset is getting a price cut. What brings us to this conclusion is the variety of retailers that recently discounted the device. Since no holiday sales are going on at the moment, it’s reasonable to suspect this is a permanent price cut rather than a deal.

Amazon, Best Buy and B&H Photo Video have sliced $50 right off the retail price for a Sony Xperia X. This brings the cost from $550 to just $500. It’s been awhile since Sony reported stellar sales of its smartphones in the United States. The Xperia X features mid-range specs but comes with a premium exterior design. The reason reviews have been modest for this phone are mainly due to the handset’s price, which remains a bit high. The premium mid-range sector has become one of the hardest to make money in because of all the great, yet also affordable smartphones. Have a look at some of the latest deals at the link below. There, we’ve also included links leading to retailers who cut the price of the Xperia X.
