Leaks have revealed that Google plans to release the long-awaited Google Home speaker along with a Chromecast Ultra at its event scheduled for October 4th. Rumored pricing for the speaker and Chromecast are $129 and $69 respectively. A previously unheard of device called Google Wi-Fi has been tipped to launch the same day as well.
The rumored October 4th launch date has now been confirmed by Google, which will go down in Mountain View, California at 12PM EST. We’re expecting two phones made by HTC, the Pixel and Pixel XL, previously known as Sailfish and Marlin, as well as Daydream hardware, a new Chromecast, Google Home, and an Android maintenance update rumored to be version 7.1.
For the past few days, rumors have been making rounds that Google is planning to drop the Nexus brand for its smartphone lineup.
