AT&T has been in the news a lot and last week the carrier fully unveiled its new Watch TV video streaming service. We heard about the service a few weeks ago in a prior report, but now we have a lot more information regarding what to make of it.
AT&T has been making headlines this week. The carrier wants to be more competitive with the soon to be giant made of T-Mobile and Sprint, as well as media giants like Netflix and Amazon. AT&T has made changes to its plans, and now customers of AT&T might be in for something big. According to Reuters, AT&T’s request of approval to buy Time Warner has been granted and the deal will close June 20, 2018.
In bizarre but good news that adds to today’s plan changes, AT&T’s CEO announced a brand new TV streaming service while testifying in court. The news first broke on Friday, presumably after the court session got out. The new streaming service is called ‘Watch’ and costs just $15 per month.
