The Ultimate Shopping Guide for all the Best Amazon Prime Day 2018 Deals

Amazon Prime day has returned for 2018 and it begins today! Amazon has run the deal day every year since 2015, making this the fourth annual Amazon deal holiday. For those unfamiliar, every summer Amazon runs a variety of promotions on its retail website during a randomly assigned date. The retail giant is going bigger than ever before with 36 hours of deals this year that go live at 3PM EDT on July 16. There are to be some huge discounts and some are already live as of the time we posted this. Here is a list we compiled of all the best ones available that you should be aware of and everything you need to know.

Get ready to open your wallet if you have not already! Amazon is offering sales on “over a million” of products. This time around, just about all the deals are available exclusively for Prime members. If you’re not a member of Amazon’s program, you are not eligible to save on the crazy Amazon Prime Day offerings. If you’ve never created an account, signing up now can land you an extended free trial over at Amazon.com. During the trial, you’ll enjoy all the benefits Prime members have and there are a lot of them. If you’ve already gone through a trial, Amazon will still let you join on Prime Day to take advantage of all the great deals.

Amazon scheduled Prime Day back in early July and people have been anticipating the day since. What better to do than drop money on things you don’t actually need! Like year’s past, it looks as if Amazon will have a selection of deals for those possessing an Alexa device since owners can now make purchases through Amazon using the voice assistant. Considering that Amazon sold a record number of Alexa devices in the last year, this should include a range of consumers. Device owners can also ask Alexa about deals to learn about some of the best and most popular sales. Remember, things are going to go fast so check out the deals once Prime Day begins and have your credit card handy!

Amazon is offering deals on a wide range of products including not only Amazon products, but goods from other brands as well. You’ll see massive discounts on everything from convenience goods all the way to expensive electronics and Amazon Echo speakers. Depending on how much you spend, the savings can come out to be hundreds of dollars off. Everything with a Prime Day discount that’s active will have a sale header ‘Prime Day Deal’ in all caps to spot easier. You’ll also be able to see just how much the discount is since the standard price tag will be shown side-by-side with the sale price in the mobile app and online for a price comparison. Since time is limited, you’ll also see countdown timers that shows just how much time is remaining for you to make a decision on a particular product. The same goes for supply, which will show in red exactly how many units are left in stock once quantity is running low.

Most deals will run from Monday, July 16 at 3:00pm Eastern Daylight Time through July 18 at 3:00am Eastern Daylight Time. This is a lot shorter than Black Friday which has essentially evolved into a full week of sales entailing Cyber Monday. Customers can track all the action in the Amazon mobile app, which can be downloaded here. Linked here is also the dedicated section for some of the best Prime Day deals on products. You can absorb some helpful tips in the Amazon Prime Day Insider Guide here to make sure you’re ready to go.
