Update to Google Photos lets you view slideshows from albums

Google Photos got an update today allowing users to play slideshows from their photo albums. This means you’ll no longer have to swipe through each and every photo when showing others an adventure you took.

With the latest update to Google Photos, a new button will be available inside albums reading ‘slideshow.’ You may have seen this button before when selecting photos using a drag of your finger. Now, you can simply play a slideshow containing all (depends on size) the photos in a particular album. We’ve all experienced that time when we’re showing a friend photos and swipe over to see something private. This update could be your solution.

Slideshows take less than a minute to create and sometimes include music to fit the background. Neat and fun transitions can also be added. Users may cast slideshows to their TV using Android TV or a Chromecast. This will make your experience ever more worthwhile.

Google does it all without you having to do anything. Just tap, create, and play. It’s that easy. The new slideshow feature works in the mobile app for Android as well as the web version. Grab the mobile update here.
