Watch the official replay of the OnePlus 5T NYC Event right here

Watch OnePlus unveil the OnePlus 5T smartphone during a live event in Brooklyn, New York here starting at 11:00AM ET. The flagship is expected to succeed the OnePlus 5 from a mere six months ago with an upgraded design, the latest hardware specifications, and an affordable price tag.

In the past, OnePlus has released one flagship smartphone per year, with an occasional mid-range offering to supplement it. However, last year, OnePlus terminated its mid-range lineup after the OnePlus X, and instead came out with two flagship smartphones six months apart in OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T. The Chinese headquartered manufacturer, despite early reports that it wouldn’t follow last year’s strategy, is looking to announce its second model of 2017. The OnePlus 5T is expected to be a six month upgrade to the OnePlus 5 with some minor improvements kind of like Apple’s ‘S’ models. Whether this will prove a successful strategy will be determined once the phone hits markets, expected to be on November 21.

We first heard about the possibility of a OnePlus 5T a matter of a few short months ago, which isn’t much notice. It appears that OnePlus has something it wants to get out there as soon as possible, so we’re excited and look forward to learning how it’ll stack up against the heavy fall competition. Unlike events in the past that were held online, OnePlus is holding an actual press event where people will be in attendance. The live event perhaps signals that something big is coming. OnePlus will need something big, that is, if they are to convince OnePlus 5 owners that OnePlus 5T provides enough worth upgrading to. OnePlus confirmed the event two weeks ago, and has said that its new phone will bring a “A New View,” which could mean a new 18:9 aspect ratio; let’s just hope it’s not too expensive as are most in this category.

Next week will be no bigger for anyone other than OnePlus, who has had fans from around the world anticipating the showcase. Although many questions have already been answered through prior leaks and teasers, some questions still remain including pricing and availability. For the unveiling, you’ll be able to sit back and watch the show via livestream from the comfort of your own home. Following the announcement, the company is expected to, like it usually does, hold several pop-up events in major cities.

The livestream is available on YouTube as well as the company’s website here, and will begin once the clock reaches 11AM ET. Bookmark this page and tune-in once the event starts. We’ve included the stream for you directly below. You can count on us to bring full coverage and post analysis once the event concludes.
