OnePlus 5 comes in Soft Gold for a limited time

Shortly before the OnePlus 3T was succeeded by the OnePlus 5, the Chinese manufacturer introduced new color variants with hope to keep customers interested. The “colette” special edition was one of them and Midnight Black (Matte Black) was another. Today, OnePlus has delivered a new OnePlus 5 color option that will be available temporarily alongside Slate Gray and Midnight Black.

As many were anticipating, OnePlus has introduced a new color variant of the OnePlus 5. Soft Gold has been available in the form of previous OnePlus models, and now you can buy the latest OnePlus 5 suited up in it.

OnePlus claims that many have requested that the OnePlus 5 come in Soft Gold. This Soft Gold color exists on the rear of the device, while the front has been altered to White. The new color is available exclusively for US residents today. However, the company plans to start selling the model in India as well, beginning August 9 at 12:00 AM IST. You can buy the Gold-colored phone with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of onboard storage for $479 and it will ship immediately. This is the same price as the other 6GB RAM, 64GB storage models, which makes sense considering both the design and internals are the same.
