AT&T has been in the news a lot and last week the carrier fully unveiled its new Watch TV video streaming service. We heard about the service a few weeks ago in a prior report, but now we have a lot more information regarding what to make of it.

AT&T has been making headlines this week. The carrier wants to be more competitive with the soon to be giant made of T-Mobile and Sprint, as well as media giants like Netflix and Amazon. AT&T has made changes to its plans, and now customers of AT&T might be in for something big. According to Reuters, AT&T’s request of approval to buy Time Warner has been granted and the deal will close June 20, 2018.
It was confirmed near the end of last week that AT&T will be increasing the price one will pay for its old unlimited plan. Starting this July, an AT&T unlimited data plan will be $5 steeper per month. This isn’t a significant increase and while it won’t break the deal for many of you, it puts competitors in a better spot.

In early May, LG started what became flagship smartphone season with its G7 ThinQ. The handset is only now reaching markets around the world, yet LG unfolded a new flagship device just last week. LG V35 ThinQ starts shipping today and is exclusive to AT&T in the US. The phone features a lot of the same as G7 ThinQ, only with V-Series branding.
Of all the great Android smartphones out there, AT&T and Verizon have agreed to carry an unproven device that is a first from its company. We’re talking about the unreleased but long-awaited RED Hydrogen One said to be “holographic.” Perhaps carriers have seen something we have not.
