Google appears to be working on its next major Chrome OS project, fingerprint recognition support. Sources say it’s only a matter of time before the technology makes its way over to Chromebooks.
Little over a month ago, Google finally started rolling out Android apps for Chrome OS starting with the Asus Chromebook Flip. They also announced plans to support app compatibility for newer Chromebook models such as the Chromebook 11 and Pixel 2015. Early this week, Acer launched a new Chromebook model, the Chromebook R13. It may just be the first flagship model designed specifically for Android apps.
Google has finally begun rolling out Android apps to the Chrome OS platform. We’ve heard the idea for almost a year now, but Google has finally started the process with the Asus Chromebook Flip.
