Near the beginning of 2017, HTC approached a new strategy: to launch fewer phones than it had in the past. However, as the year progressed, the company picked up the pace launching numerous HTC U 11 smartphones including a ‘Plus‘ variant and more. Google and HTC recently signed an agreement that sees Google acquiring some of HTC’s engineers. As part of this deal, HTC is still able to develop its own smartphones. One such device is known as the HTC ‘Ocean Master’ and we have a new leak providing additional details.

Earlier in the week, Google revealed Android 8.0 Oreo, and released the software update for a number of Nexus and Pixel devices. HTC has now confirmed that its HTC U 11, HTC U Ultra and HTC 10 will be updated to Android Oreo.
