OnePlus has been on a roll. The company has been updating its old phones frequently and the latest OnePlus 6 has sold in record numbers, beating out the previous sales record-holder OnePlus 5T. Nobody saw this coming given the six-month release cycle, and to spice things up even more, the Chinese OEM announced a new variant of its latest smartphone model this week.
OnePlus is racking up big sales figures for itself following a successful OnePlus 6 release in many countries. The flagship killer is selling in more units than the prior model, and the company is absolutely killing it. OnePlus hasn’t forgotten about owners of previous flagship iterations either, which make up some of its user base.
OnePlus 6 has been on the market for nearly a month, and is already breaking all kinds of company records. The six-month release cycle hasn’t proved to be the villain, as OnePlus accomplished the impossible by beating out the sales mark achieved by the former OnePlus 5T.

OnePlus calls its version of fast charging “Dash Charge” and has done so ever since the company first introduced the concept with the OnePlus 3 smartphone. Dash Charge allows the OnePlus 3 and devices that have followed to charge a battery in a fraction of the time. Other Android OEMs have adopted similar technology, but Dash Charge is one of the quickest and most efficient methods.
