It’s big, it’s bold and it’s got something new for fans: the South Korean tech titan recently announced that the Galaxy Note 8 will have a Deepsea Blue variant to be available exclusively at Best Buy beginning November 16.
With Santa’s bells ringing around the corner, Samsung is now giving their loyal consumers something to add to their wish list. According to the company’s official website, the new Deepsea Blue color will be up for grabs this week and will complement the phablet’s existing Orchid Grey and Midnight Black options. US buyers will be able to choose from AT&T, Verizon and Sprint versions of the Galaxy Note 8 in Deepsea Blue through Best Buy’s physical and online stores, while its unlocked version will be coursed through Samsung.com.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 is designed for, as Samsung points out, people who want to do “Bigger things.” As the company’s next-generation smartphone, the Galaxy Note 8 has a 6.3-inch handheld with a Quad HD+ Super AMOLED Infinity Display, 6GB of RAM, a 10nm processor, 64GB of onboard storage (expandable up to 256GB via mircoSD), and a bevy of state-of-the-art features such as a revamped S-Pen, Live Messages, Knox 7 for added security, and of course, the famed water and dust resistance (IP67) of the Galaxy franchise.
In addition, the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 is the first smartphone with dual 12MP rear cameras, both of which have optical image stabilization (OIS). The camera’s Live Focus feature enables users to adjust the depth of field and bokeh effect, while the device’s Dual Capture mode captures two images simultaneously. The Galaxy Note 8 also comes with a Dual Pixel sensor and a stunning 8MP front-facing clicker for clearer selfies and video calls.
The Deepsea Blue Galaxy Note 8 is expected to cost the same as the already-existing Galaxy Note 8 models because all have the same design, specs and features. Meaning, $950 will buy this phone unlocked once it’s available.
