Snapchat for Android to get full-blown makeover

Snapchat for Android flat-out isn’t all that great. Many have complained about the somewhat inconsistent and sub-par performance when compared to the version of Snap Inc’s app on the iOS platform. Snap is aware, and will soon announce a full-blown makeover now that it has the needed resources.

Up through now, the Snapchat experience all around has been superior on iOS. Android users have had to wait for new features and the app has had some performance issues for quite some time that haven’t been addressed. The good news is, they will soon.

Snap Inc, now a publicly traded company, is desperate to pull in profits, and where better to start than rebuilding Snapchat for Android. In its latest statement, the company promised that it will begin to focus more on Snapchat for Android, starting with a fresh makeover of the application for Google’s OS.

Snap plans to roll out a large update soon, that’ll make Snapchat on Android much more attractive through ease of use and lifted performance. We’re expecting a refreshed interface, one that more closely resembles the design and functionality on the iOS version of the social media app. No word has been mentioned as of yet regarding just when we can expect the update. We’ll keep you up to date.
