Start sending ‘Live Videos’ as direct messages on Instagram

Instagram has been back at work, and now the service is gaining a new feature. The latest update for Instagram on Android allows users to send ‘Live Videos’ as a direct message.

We know Instagram has been experimenting with its ‘Direct Message‘ feature, considering a break out into a dedicated application for messaging purposes. However, this week’s update to the social media app simply allows one to share their ‘Live Videos’ over direct message with connected friends and family. This works both before and during the recording of a live video, but not after.

Instagram has made a lot of great improvements this year. With this improvement, Instagram Live has been made even better, and users will definitely appreciate the added ability. To try it out, make sure you’re running the latest version of the app, then tap the ‘Direct’ arrow icon, followed by a friend. You should then be able to share.

Let us know if you see the update on your Android device, down in the comments.
