Samsung is rumored to showcase foldable hardware prototypes behind closed doors at MWC 2017

As previously reported, Samsung will not announce their Galaxy S8 flagship smartphone at MWC 2017. Instead rather, we learned that a refreshed Galaxy Tab S3 would be unveiled, to make use of the time and large crowds of press. According to a new report, it no longer seems as if this be the only tech Samsung brings to Barcelona this February.

According to ETnews, Samsung may bring a few fordable smartphone prototypes to showcase at MWC 2017. The technology appears ready after years in the making, and Samsung might want to show some of the hardware concepts they designed.

The latest word is that Samsung will only show these foldable hardware concepts to makers and developers behind closed doors and not to the general public and media. The company is also said to bring some Galaxy S8 units along for closed door purposes only. However, rumor is that Samsung will disclose of a one minute Galaxy S8 teaser video during its MWC 2017 public address.

The first bunch of foldable smartphones and bendable tablets could arrive as early as the Fall of 2017. Do you think foldable hardware is a direction we need to go in? Drop a comment letting us know your thoughts.
